In Black & White

Some stills from a recent project for Zuk Divorce, run by Mark Thomson.

Once upon a time, I was a solicitor and Mark and I were partners running a national law firm. (We had other partners, it wasn’t just us!)

Mark’s now set up a new firm and he obviously wasn’t sick of me because he kindly asked me to make some videos for his new website and social media.

Mark’s personality, his values and his back story are central to Zuk Divorce, and so I wanted to create videos that brought these to the forefront, rather than create what might feel like a standard corporate law firm video.

I knew I wanted to film in black and white and searched the web until I found the perfect example of what I was after – The New York Times Screen Test interviews.

I don’t usually film in black and white, I hate using lights, and it took me a while to find the perfect venue but I think it worked out.
